Certain tax districts are ineligible to receive the assistance. Borrower must be a first time homebuyer or not have owned a home in the last 3 years. Borrower must attend a HUD certified home buyer education course. Borrower may not have more than $3,000 in liquid assets(excluding 401K/retirement.) Must have $500 of own funds. Cannot be combined with other forms of assistance. Buyer must live in the home for at least 6 years, during which time the home cannot be sold or cash out refinanced.
